Check out your state to see if they've adopted the tradition of having a tax free weekend on back to school items in August. For example, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Missouri are holding theirs on the weekend of August 7-9 in 2015.
Items that can be purchased tax-free generally include clothing, footwear, computers and school supplies up to certain dollar limits.
