Postal Connections began in 1985 as a company that built and furnished postal, packing and shipping stores
for independent operators. In 1996, The Company began franchising our concept offering to franchisees a support system for daily operations, marketing and preferred vendors.
In 2000, the franchise company was purchased to be part of a collection of businesses by a holding company, operating Postal Connections as a subsidiary. Two years later, the current owners joined the Postal Connections subsidiary as experienced managers to develop the franchise business.
In 2007, the current owners bought the franchise subsidiary to operate it as a privately held company dedicated to expanding franchise stores across the country. The stores are modeled on and updated version of the original postal, shipping and business services concept before large carriers and franchise chains bought and changed the model. This model is based on community oriented stores specializing in personalized service, competitive pricing, and flexible operations. A vital aspect is a very efficient store totally furnished and ready-to-go store started with a low initial investment and low overhead. Thorough training in all aspect of the business, favorable vendor relationships, and franchise owner flexibility to operate to meet local customer opportunities are part of our business model.
Postal Connections stores are customer friendly, yet very efficient providing a full array of postal, shipping and business services at competitive prices. Stores are located conveniently near target customers where savings of fuel and travel time make a bigger and bigger differece to people. The Postal Connections store network has been growing rapidly since ownership was transferred and now there are 90 stores located in 25 states across the country.
Today, C. "Andy" Thompson and Fred Morache are Managing Partners and Owners of Postal Connections of America. Prior to this, both men were key executives at Mail Boxes Etc., where they were instrumental in growing that company from a collection of neighborhood service centers to a worldwide network. Additionally, the Postal Connections staff and Area Franchisees are dedicated to assisting and guiding franchisees in growing their business. The current owners work closely with franchisees to help stores to increase sales and become solid personal assets that can be passed on as a family legacy or transferred as a profitable business. Both Andy and Fred are proud of the fact they have been able to put people into new careers as owners of their own business.
